Zach was born in Lubbock, TX on May 27, 1991 and moved to Wichita Falls in 1997. He attended Fowler Elementary, McNiel Jr. High and Rider High School. Signing a scholarship to play football at Tarleton State University was one of the highlights of his short but incredible life.
On Saturday morning, March 27, 2010, Zachary was excited about the upcoming football scrimmage. Afterwards, his plans were to head to Wichita to spend the weekend with family and friends. During one of the plays, Zach was involved in an accident where he suffered a severe brain injury. He was airlifted to Harris Hospital where he underwent surgery and was later placed in a drug induced coma. On Monday, March 29, after a heroic fight and surrounded by family and friends, Zachary passed away.
Jennifer, Robbie and Emily (mom, dad & sister) are extremely proud of the wonderful man Zach had become. He was an amazing big brother and exceptional friend to many. Zachary’s gift of love to the world is what made him remarkable to so many. He had the ability to see the best in everyone and touched countless lives in his brief eighteen years.
